Douglas, from the Lone Star State of Texas, as

Miss Douglas, a Chemistry major at Texas Tech
University, also won honors for speech and personality.
Twenty-eight other young women competed for the
Miss Rodeo America title during the week-long pageant which culminated
at the
coronation
ceremonies,
December 3rd, at the Flamingo Hilton Hotel. The
newly crowned Miss Rodeo America, representing the Professional Rodeo

"Having grown up in a family with deep roots in ranching
and agriculture, I've learned the value of hard work, sportsmanship, respect
for
people
and animals, and the Western way of life. It's important to me to
give something back, not only by representing professional rodeo and America,
but the wonderful people that make it what it is." |
